The world's oldest professional footballer, Kazuyoshi Miura, has now joined the 15th club of his career.
The 55-year-old, who will turn 56 later this month, has signed for Portuguese second-tier side UD Oliveirense on loan for the remainder of the season from parent club Yokohama FC, who ply their trade in the Japanese second division.

"Even though this is a new place for me, I'll work hard to show everyone the kind of play I'm known for," he said upon being unveiled by his new club, per the Daily Mirror.
Oliveirense were recently bought by the Onodera Group last November, the same company that owns Yokohama. The Liga Portugal 2 team was also only promoted to the division at the end of the 2021/22 campaign and are currently ninth on the league table.
Miura last played in Europe back in the 1998/99 season for Croatian outfit Dinamo Zagreb, one of just two sides the forward has represented on the continent, along with Italian club Genoa.
The veteran striker has enjoyed a well-travelled career to date, having also had stints in Australia and Brazil since making his professional debut in 1986.
With Miura having been on Yokohama's books since 2005, this is now his third loan move while at the club, after brief spells with Sydney FC and Suzuka PG.

According to Transfermarkt, the Asian star has made no less than 700 professional appearances in his career, scoring 193 times in the process.
