’She was afraid to speak out’

accreditation

A FAMILY is asking for help to bury their loved one.

This after 30-year-old Puseletso Koadi was found lying in a pool of blood in her home in Molapo, Soweto, on Monday, 24 October.

She had seven stab wounds and it is alleged she was stabbed by her boyfriend, who abandoned the body in the house. The family said they last saw her on Monday morning.

“She used to complain about her boyfriend’s behaviour but never opened a case against him. Before she passed on, she had separated from the boyfriend, but he couldn’t accept that it’s over,” said Keamogetswe Moloko, a childhood friend.

The family is asking for the public’s help to bury Puseletso. Her aunt, Betty Segau, said Puseletso had an income from the outside rooms, her kids’ child support grant and money she was getting from the father of her kids. “The problem is that she was not paying the funeral cover as we thought. She was spending the money with her boyfriend, the alleged killer,” she said.

Puseletso’s cousin said: “It has also come to our attention that the suspect took all her cards and used them for his own personal reasons, which is why she was unable to pay for the funeral policies. My cousin was afraid to speak out.”

The family said they want justice for Puseletso.

Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo couldn’t confirm the case as the case number provided by the family is not in their system.

Cops have asked the family to come forward so that they can assist them.
