THE family of late singer Marc Rantseli remembers him as a man who was full of joy.

The 58-year-old was part of family music duo called MarcAlex.

Speaking to Daily Sun, his brother Alex Rantseli (56) said he will remember him for all the good things he did for him.

The Quick Quick hitmaker said: "When my brother was diagnosed with brain aneurysm in 2020, I was hurt. This is where his life changed as he couldn't do many things on his own.

"He was always complaining about his continuous headache. I kept posting his photos on his social media platforms," he said.

Alex said he was in so much pain and couldn't move back then.

He said he then started feeling better and came back him until recently when he was admitted to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. His admission came after his blood vessel burst in the brain and died there.

Alex said he could feel that his favourite person was no more.

The music producer and songwriter's death was announced by Alex on Thursday morning, 9 November.

He died of a brain aneurysm.

He has left behind his brother Alex, sister Eve, mother Yoli, his daughter Naledi and son Thabo.

"It's hard losing a sibling because we had a solid relationship," said Alex.

"He was so sweet, man. I  enjoyed working with him as a brother and a duo as MarcAlex," he said.

The musician said they lived their best lives together in South Africa and abroad.

"We performed at big events with a great number of well-known artists. I really miss my brother," Alex said.

The musician's memorial service will be held at the Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, Soweto on Wednesday, 14 November.
