A WOMAN from Crossroads in Cape Town is struggling to recover after she was raped by eight men on 20 November.
The 30-year-old woman told Daily Sun the gang opened her shack window around 2am and claimed to be cops.
They pointed a gun at her.
“They asked where my man was.
“I told them I do not have a man and they asked for a man whose name I don’t know.
“I told them I don’t know anyone with a name like that,” she said.
She said the men searched her shack and took R550 and her phone.
When they were about to leave, one of them pushed her on the bed and raped her while the others waited for their turn.
The woman went to the cop shop in the morning and the doctor, where DNA samples were taken.
In the afternoon, she went to the mall to buy some meat.
While at the mall, she saw one of the men who raped her.
“I saw the tracksuit top he was wearing when I was raped and his face,” she said.
The woman called a community leader to rush to Philippi Mall.

The leader called the cops and told them about the incident.
But the man and his friends left the mall while the cops were on the way, so the woman followed them from a distance while directing the cops to where she was.
When the cops arrived, the woman pointed out the man who raped her and also identified a second suspect.
She said one of the men pointed out another men, saying he was with them during the act.
Police spokeswoman Captain Nowonga Sukwana said a case of rape is being investigated by the Nyanga Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
She said the suspects have already appeared in the Wynberg Magistrates Court.
“The case was postponed to 20 December.
“The other six suspects are still at large and police are looking for them and will not stop until all perpetrators are behind bars,” said Sukwana.
