FIVE people lost their lives after trigger-happy thugs went on a shooting spree.
Police have launched a manhunt following three separate shooting incidents in Edenpark, Ekurhuleni over the long weekend.
According to Gauteng police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, the first incident happened on Thursday, 14 December at Nhloboshiane Street, Greenfields in Ekurhuleni.
She said it's reported that the victims had a family gathering and six unknown men attacked them.

"The suspects started firing shots at the victims. Three people died while the others were taken to hospital," she said.
Nevhuhulwi said the second incident happened in Palm ridge Extension 3 on Saturday, 16 December.
"Five friends were reportedly having drinks at the house when attacked by two unknown men who demanded cellphones.
"One of the victims allegedly refused to hand over his phone and he was shot and killed. The other four friends surrendered their cellphones," said Nevhuhulwi.
The four were unharmed.
She said the third incident occurred on Sunday, 17 December in Greenfields where the victims were in the yard. Five unknown thugs reportedly entered the yard and demanded their cellphones and started shooting at the victims.
Nevhuhulwi said one victim was declared dead on the scene while the other two were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds.
"The suspects fled the scene with a black vehicle with no registration number," she said.
