THE iconic Paul Kruger statue that sits in the middle of Church Square in Tshwane is dressed in green and gold.
This is to cheer on the Springboks ahead of the Rugby World Cup finals which are taking place on Saturday, 28 October, in France.
Many people in Tshwane, especially in the CBD, said it was the first time they had seen the statue of Paul Kruger wearing any regalia.
South Africans said they were confident that the Rugby World Cup trophy was coming to Mzansi as the Springboks would battle it out in a do or die final against the All Blacks in France.
The fans said that Kruger himself will be waiting for the trophy.
The fans said Kruger's spirit and other ancestors would be behind the Springboks.
Martin Nel said he supported the Springboks proudly.

"I'm proud to be standing seeing Kruger wearing a Springboks jersey and waiting for the trophy to come home," he said.
Nel said the Springboks would bring the trophy home.
Collen Mdluli (57) said: "This is the first time seeing a statue of Paul Kruger wearing Springbok jersey. The spirit of Kruger is with the Springboks."
He said South Africa would win even though New Zealand's national team, All Blacks, would give them a run for their money.
He said the Springboks were a strong squad that was capable of beating any team.
Solly Khoza (32) said: "I see Kruger as a rugby fan. It's good to see his spirit supporting the team."
The initiative was done in partnership with the Capital Collective and City Property Administration.
Jeffrey Wapnick, managing director of City Property, said: “The aim of this installation is to show our support for the Boks but also to create awareness for Church Square and Tshwane as a tourist destination.
"We are proud members of the Church Square Revival Project (CSRP). The overall goal is to create a healthy public square with a vibrant community to boost the revitalisation of the city’s inner core.”
