COMMUNITY, church, family members and activists marched to Soshanguve Police Station in Tshwane on Tuesday, 5 December.
The purpose of the march was to demand justice for Palesa Malatji (17) who was found murdered and sexually violated near Echibini Secondary School in Soshanguve on 26 May 2023.
Palesa had gone missing on 25 May 2023, and the discovery of her body shook the community.
The family said they are worried that Palesa won't get justice.
Palesa's uncle, Thabiso Malatji, said that they demanded answers from the cops.

"Since Police Minister Bheki Cele, promised to arrest the suspect within a week, months have since passed without any communication," he said.
Thabiso said Cele is failing them once more and he's also failing the community.
Tebogo Makhubela, chairman of the ANC Youth League in ward 94, said the family told them they were not getting answers regarding Palesa's matter.
"We want the police to do their job. We don't want our young students to be walked to school every day. This is a serious concern for the community," he said.
Lucky Mabe, convener of the march, condemned gender-based violence.
"It's time as a community to stand together and say enough is enough with gender-based violence. Men in our homes are abusing us," she said.
Palesa's other uncle, Isaac Malatji said Cele visited their home and told them that they would get answers in two weeks, and they're still waiting. He said that the police haven't told them about postmortem results.
Members of the Congress of South African Students (Cosas) expressed their dissatisfaction with the handling of the case and warned of potential protests and road closures if the matter was not addressed adequately.
Soshanguve acting station commander Colonel Celia Napo received the memorandum on behalf of Brigadier Moses Dladla.
She said police will attend to the memorandum and will call all stakeholders involved in the memorandum.
