CRIME wardens are said to be crashing brand new state cars like nothing.
The cars were given to them to fight crime. Since they started work on 1 May 2023, the wardens (AmaPanyaza) have been involved in 22 accidents, according to a newspaper report.
Three cars are said to have been written off, 11 vehicles are being repaired and eight are being inspected for damage.
This was announced by Ofentse Morwane, spokesman for the Gauteng Department of Community Safety, in an interview with the Sunday Times.

Besides crashing cars, AmaPanyaza have also been criticised for taking a heavy-handed approach.
