SIX of the seven bodies that were burned in Diepsloot, Joburg are to be identified on Monday, 4 December.
The bodies were burned beyond recognition, with only one victim identified as Katlego "Brave Maseven" Mphuti.
The brutal attack, allegedly triggered by gunshots on Friday night, led residents to grab, stone, and burn seven individuals accused of spreading terror in Diepsloot.
The bodies were discovered on Saturday morning.
Katlego Mphuti's family said they are not happy because their son died for the sins of others.
"He was naughty, but we dispute the fact that he was involved in crime," said a sister.
Residents said the high crime in the area is a major concern.

"People are taking the law into their own hands because they lost hope in the police," said a resident.
In September, residents organised a march against crime in the area.
What pushed the march at that time was the shooting and killing of several residents.
"At the time, police said they will come up with plans to fight crime, but clearly it show police are overwhelmed," said a resident.
Meanwhile, provincial police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo warned residents against taking the law into their own hands.
"We condemn vigilantism as this is against the law. We urge people to report to the crime to police and not take law into own hands," Masondo said.
