WHEN people think of hospitals, they associate them with pain and sadness.
But a new viral video has turned this on its head as it shows two patients having a fun time at Odi District Hospital in Mabopane, Tshwane.
The video shows the ladies doing a sexy bacardi dance with the person filming them cheering in the background.
The video had social media users in stitches after a meme account shared the video on Instagram.
Jozi_hotties wrote: “When you wake up from sleep after a procedure and the anaesthetics are still in your system.”
Shaunpoutje said: “Discharge them, the groove is calling them.”
Senior communication officer of Odi District Hospital, Nombulelo Shangase said the two patients were admitted at the hospital when they took this video.
“The video came to our attention on Tuesday, 6 September. One of the patients who was still under our care yesterday (Tuesday) was interviewed about what happened and admitted they were bored and decided to take a video of themselves dancing to the music that was playing on TV.”
Nombulelo said the patient admitted they were not aware this act would be such a serious incident.
“The patient (one of the dancers) who posted the video is a minor. Families of the concerned patients have been called to the hospital ... The hospital staff members are committed to providing quality healthcare services to our patients and educate them about patient responsibilities,” she said.
