IT SEEMS the dispute for the Zulu throne is far from over.
And in a twist of events, the Zulu nation might now have three kings.
THIS AFTER THE LATE KING ZWELITHINI’S BROTHERS, PRINCE MBONISI, PRINCE MATHUBA AND PRINCE VULINDLELA ANNOUNCED
That one of Zwelithini’s other son, Prince Buzabazi Zulu, is the next king.
They are preparing to take Prince Buzabazi to the cattle kraal at Kwa Dlamahlahla Royal Palace as soon as possible, to introduce him to the ancestors as king.
Prince Buzabazi is Zwelithini’s third son with his second wife, Queen Buhle Mathe.
Prince Mathuba said: “After we followed all royal family rituals, we are now announcing Prince Buzabazi as the next Zulu king.
“As the core royal family members and the rightful ones to take the king to kraal, we will take him to the kraal soon.
“We took time to select him because we know all king Zwelithini’s sons.”
This is despite king Misuzulu being traditionally coronated as the Zulu king in the cattle kraal at KwaKhangelamankengane Royal Palace at Nongoma, KZN, on Saturday, 20 August.

Another one of Zwelithini’s sons, Prince Simakade, was traditionally coronated as king on Saturday, 13 August.
During the coronation, King Misuzulu said traitors were not new in the Zulu nation, but he would end it and he wanted everyone back home.
“As you know about the current situation in the royal house, there are those who are contesting the throne.
“Just give them the ears, but do not listen to them,” he said.
King Misuzulu thanked President Cyril Ramaphosa for being brave and recognising him as Zulu king.
“I asked the Zulu monarch’s traditional prime minister if the kingship certificate can be returned when there is a complaint and he said no, it doesn’t work like that.
“There will be no changes now.

“The kingship certificate has been issued once and there’s no way there will be two certificates or three. Just one,” said Misuzulu.
Ramaphosa is expected to give King Misuzulu the certificate at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, on a date that has not been announce yet.
The traditional coronation went ahead despite Zwelithini’s daughters Princess Ntandoyenkosi and Princess Ntombizosuthu’s attempts to interdict it.
They filed an urgent interdict after the Supreme Court of Appeal granted their mother Queen Sibongile Dlamini-Zulu leave to appeal Judge Isaac Madondo’s ruling, which dismissed her application to have 50% of Zwelithini’s estate.
