A TRUCK driver is in critical condition after he was injured in a roll-over on Monday afternoon, 5 September on the N2 in Ridgeview, Durban.
Netcare 911 spokesman Shawn Herbst said paramedics responded to an emergency call at 5.20pm.
“Reports indicate that the driver of a truck transporting copper sheets lost control on a downhill, resulting in a roll-over. Medics assessed the patient, an adult male who had been critically injured trapped inside the wreckage of the front cab,” said Herbst in a statement.
He said Fire and Rescue services used hydraulic tools to free the man, while advanced life support paramedics treated him.
“Once stabilised, the patient was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further care,” said Herbst.
