POLICE activities at the Sunnyside cop shop in Tshwane were interrupted on Tuesday, 21 March when a man threatened to jump off the station's roof.
But it is not known how he managed to climb up the three-storey building.
According to police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo, the man threatened to throw himself off the roof if anyone came near him.

But he eventually got down after the police chaplain and hostage negotiator convinced him not to jump.
"After questioning the man, the police opened an inquiry docket and referred the man to a medical care centre for further observation," he said.
“Furthermore, part of the inquiry is to establish how the man got to the roof of the police station and for what reasons.”
Masondo said the the man’s age is yet to be determined by authorities.
Tshwane emergency services deputy chief, Charles Mabaso, said they were aware of the incident.
"Emergency services were called to the scene and found a man threatening to jump," he said.
Mabaso said they sent a fire truck while waiting for the police negotiator and chaplain to come through.
"The incident was handed over to the South African Police. As emergency services we remained on standby to help them bring the man down," said Mabaso.
He said circumstances surrounding the man's decision to jump off the roof were being investigated.
