A COP stationed at Thohoyandou Police Station has allegedly shot the son of his landlord after a disagreement over loud music.
The incident occurred in Makwarela Block A, Zone 1 in Limpopo, at about 10. 10 pm on Monday, 20 November.
It's alleged that the victim found the 48-year-old suspect outside the rented residence playing loud music and instructed him to stop as it was disturbing pupils preparing for their examinations.
Mmbulaheni Mulaudzi, the secretary of the Sanco branch, told Daily Sun that the incident occurred after they sent letters warning tavern owners about playing loud music during exams.
"We're not happy with the policeman's reaction because our future leaders who are learners are busy with their examinations.
"We will have a mass community meeting to address the issue, and we oppose his bail application," he said.

According to Hlulani Mashaba, the Limpopo police spokesman, the suspect didn't take it well, and an argument ensued.
The suspect was arrested in Vuwani Village on Tuesday, 21 November.
Limpopo police commissioner Lieutenant-General Thembi Hadebe said: "Police officers are tasked with safeguarding the people, not harming them. This behaviour is intolerable. This member has to face the long arm of the law, and this is a warning to those who might still consider doing the same."
The suspect will appear in the Thohoyandou Magistrates Court soon on charges of attempted murder. Police investigations are continuing.
