SLAIN Gauteng crime Prevention Warden Jabulani Gininda (35) was laid to rest on Saturday, 21 October.
Gininda was shot nine times in broad daylight at a taxi rank while on duty last Friday, 13 October in Orange Farm extension 10.
The AmaPanyaza member, who was attached to the Orange Farm Police Station, was given an emotional send-off.
In attendance at his send-off were Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi, accompanied by Gauteng MEC for Community Safety Faith Mazibuko, Gauteng traffic police and other governmental officials.
Hundreds of Amapanyaza were also present to bid farewell to Gininda.

Speaking during the funeral service, Panyaza said: "Criminals have taken a decision to be lawless, not to respect life, property and not to respect our community. It’s days like this that we feel the pain that families are going through and many other families are going to go through if we cannot stop this thing that is going on, called crime.
"I want to thank Jabu’s family, that when we said we are looking for people to fight crime, they allowed him to do so and unfortunately, he paid the ultimate price for us to save our communities.
"I want to say this, we will be with you in good times and in bad times, that what you are doing is not only a calling, but a commitment to make our communities live in peace,” said Lesufi.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Department of Community Safety spokesman Ofentse Morwane said the killing of law enforcement officers would not be tolerated as this undermined the work and presence of law enforcement officers within communities.
Morwane confirmed that cops were investigating Gininda’s murder, adding that a suspect had been arrested.
