THE owner of a white Isuzu light delivery vehicle (LDV) got the shock of his life when he woke up on Friday morning, 1 September.
His car had vanished from his yard in Embalenhle, Mpumalanga.
Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality Police Department (EMPD) spokeswoman, Lieutenant-Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, said officers received information about a suspicious car parked in a yard at Langaville in Tsakane.
She said the officers followed up on the information and upon their arrival, they identified a vehicle matching the description given and thoroughly checked it.

“The vehicle was registered to a 46-year-old man from Embalenhle in Mpumalanga, who alleges that when he woke up in the morning of Friday, he discovered that his vehicle was stolen.
“The victim then contacted his vehicle tracking company to locate the vehicle, and the tracking company confirmed the whereabouts of the vehicle. He proceeded to open a case docket at Embalenhle Police Station," Thepa said.
She said the yard where the vehicle was found allegedly belonged to a man who fled before the cops arrived.
“The vehicle was taken to Aeroton Vehicle Identification Services cop shop in Joburg for safekeeping.
“Although no arrests have been made, the officers will stop at nothing to bring the perpetrators to book," Thepa said.
