COPS have arrested three suspects in separate incidents around Daveyton, Ekurhuleni.

On Thursday 17 August, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Bromberg precinct officers bust a female and two male suspects.

The suspects who are between the ages of 20 and 37 were arrested for malicious damage to property, common assault, domestic violence, fraud, as well as theft.

According EMPD spokeswoman Leutenant-Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, EMPD officers responded to information about a male suspect who committed malicious damage to property by assaulting a tenant victim and breaking an apartment window. She said the 20-year-old suspect was located and cornered on Tom Boya Street in Daveyton.

In another incident, Thepa said a 37-year-old woman was arrested at her boyfriend’s place. This after she allegedly assaulted her aunt (70) after claiming she stole her belongings. The woman faces charges of common assault and domestic violence.

Thepa said in the third incident, a suspect (37) was arrested after being accused of fraud and theft by his mother.

"The mother, who is the complainant, alleges that after her husband died, the son claimed that the mother is mentally unstable, stole the title deed of the house, her identity documents and the insurance money was defrauded," she said.

Thepa said the three suspects were detained at the Daveyton Police Station and will appear in court soon.
