THE case against the woman accused of killing and chopping up her partner has been postponed to 15 March.

Tatenda Mhlanga (33) and her co-accused Johannes Lebese appeared in the Benoni Magistrates Court on Friday, 1 March.

The reason for postponement was that the docket was not in court.

Wearing a white doek, green tracksuit top and a maroon skirt, Tatenda looked relaxed.

Her lawyer was also not in court.

On the other hand, Johannes Lebese (53) said he wished this could go away.

"Had I not helped the woman, I wouldn't be here," he said.

Lebese was bust on 11 November 2023 after he was asked by Tatenda to help her push the suitcase, which at the time she claimed had skop and meat.

When the crime wardens stopped them to search the suitcase, Tatenda fled leaving Lebese to answer.

She handed herself over to police on 12 November 2023.

Residents of Wattville said they can't wait for the trial to start.

"She needs to tell us what led to her to kill father of her child," said a resident.
