"WE will do better, we will do more, and we will do it faster together and for the next five years iANC izoqhuba."
This is what the leader of the governing party, President Cyril Ramaphosa, promised the people of Mzansi during the party's manifesto launch in Durban on Saturday, 24 February.
Ramaphosa said they've also learnt from their mistakes.
Thousands of ANC members gathered at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The stadium was filled to capacity for the Mayihlome manifesto launch.
Ramaphosa said in the next five years, the ANC will invest in the thorough training of deployees and public servants as well as their manifesto and other organisational programmes.
He said building on the foundation of the past three decades, the party was poised to tackle the challenges ahead of 2030.
"The ANC remains committed and resolute to pursue the transformation agenda in order to build a better life for all."
Ramaphosa said while job creation has shown growth since the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, the unemployment rate, especially among the youth, remains high.
"Over the next five years, we'll implement a jobs plan. We'll create 2.5 million work opportunities," he said.

Ramaphosa also said his party would tackle the high cost of living by taking steps to make everyday life more affordable for workers and the unemployed.
"We'll create better health services."
He said the ANC's transformation journey must be led by honest and dedicated leaders.
"The ANC is working to restore your trust and confidence in us as the leaders of fundamental social-economic transformation and integrity."
An ANC member Thandeka Mkhize (26) from KwaMashu, KZN said she heard the president saying the party would create jobs for unemployed graduates.
"I was so happy to hear that the ANC is aware that there are unemployed people out there, and they'll create jobs."
Sbusiso Dlamini (33) believes the ANC will do well, if given another chance.
"The president spoke well. They've done a lot and are still going to do more," he said.
