THE president of the Transformation Alliance (TTA), Abel Tau, collected the party's registration certificate from the IEC head office in Tshwane on Tuesday, 14 November 2023.
He said the TTA is officially registered as a party that will contest in the 2024 provincial and national elections.
Furthermore, he said the party will contest in the by-elections.
"This certificate means a lot to us. We have a right to open a bank account in the name of the party, which was holding us back.
"We want to be a party which respects protocols when it comes to governance," he said.
Tau said it was important that they don't have money that goes into people's accounts, carried by bags, as it’s wrong.
"We have been patient. Today we are happy and can be free. We can procure goods and services. We don't want to transact through people's pockets and myself," he said.
Tau, whose party was launched in May 2023, said he doesn't want to be blamed in the future for stealing people's money.

He said South Africans have formed allegiances based on emotional attachment and not service delivery.
"We need to correct this that the ANC must be removed from power. We want to restore sovereignty of our country. Not everyone must come and go as they please," he said.
National chairman of TTA, Tlhogi Moseki, said the party would bring literal change in South Africa.
"Heavens are opened in agreement that finally, sanity has prevailed. We are the rightful leaders in our own rights as TTA to contest elections," he said.
Moseki encouraged South Africans to go and register to vote this coming weekend as there was no other way to defeat and remove the ANC from power and "collapse the marriage between ANC and EFF".
