THOUSANDS of congregants from different churches converged at the IPHC Kanana City in Heidelberg, Lesedi Local Municipality, to attend the prayer for peace service.
The service was hosted by the International Pentecost Holiness Church (IPHC), under the leadership of His Grace, Successor MG Sandlana, together with allied faith-based organizations, NGOs, traditional leaders, and political party representatives.
The church spokesman, Vusi Ndala, said the interfaith prayer service themed: Prayer for Peace and Security in South Africa, Africa and the Middle East, was held on Sunday, 5 November.

Ndala said they decided the high crime rate and the lack of government services to the people of Mzansi needed God's intervention.
“We have gathered here with different churches to pray for divine intervention," he said.
He said the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) has recently formally launched the 2024 National and Provincial Elections program as a means of declaring its readiness to host millions of eligible voters across our beloved country next year.
“We believe that it is now incumbent upon all faith-based organizations, and every South African, to seek divine intervention before, during, and after the historic elections – which are an important marker in the path of our maturing democracy,” Ndala said.
