MTN Joyous Celebration is set to entertain people with their music during the Easter weekend in Durban, KZN.

Joyous will host their three-day worship event called Joyous Easter Megafest at Durban ICC from Friday, 7 April to Sunday, 9 April.

They will also launch their new album Joyous Celebration 27 and unveil new members.

Joyous co-founder, Lindelani Mkhize, said they will bless people as well celebrate their achievement as a group.

“It will be our first time launching our album in Durban since the group was formed about 27 years ago.

“It is known that Joyous was formed in Durban, but we have realised that we have never launched our album there. We normally go to Durban and record our album live or to entertain people,” said Lindelani.

He said from now on, the Joyous Easter Megafest will always be held in Durban during the Easter weekend to worship God with the people.

“On Saturday, we will host a supper called Gospel Meets Soul and Jazz Supper Club, which is designed for those who love different music but are associated with gospel,” he said.

He said the main purpose of the Gospel Meets Soul and Jazz Supper Club is to bring people together for networking and enjoying a different night.

“On Sunday, we will have Joyous Celebration and Friends, where the group will be sharing the stage with other gospel musicians who are the group’s friends," he said.

Lindelani said that the gospel artists will be those from Joyous Celebration and those who have never sung for the group.
