Actor and performer Tumi Stopnonsons Matila to appear in court.

ACTOR and performer Tumi "Stopnonsons" Matila's assault case will be heard in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Thursday, 12 October.

On Wednesday, 13 September, the comedian appeared in court, and his case was postponed for further investigations.

The 31-year-old comedian was released on R2 000 bail in August.

The state prosecutor released the Joburg-based actor because both complaints didn't oppose his bail.

Stopnonsos was arrested by the Honeydew police on Tuesday, 7 August. This after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Thando Ngemane and her friend.

He was released on condition that he doesn't contact or communicate with the complainants. He must also not reach out to them via social media platforms or harass them.

Stopnonsos was also told not to interfere or intimidate them.

The comedian was also served with a protection order from the complainants, his girlfriend Thando and her friend.
