SKEEM Saam actress’ father and co-accused will remain in prison.
This comes after their case was postponed to Thursday, 1 February.
The three William Manku (53), Nonhlanhla Ngubo (42) and David Khoza (40) appeared before the Magatle Magistrates Court in Zebediela, Limpopo for bail appearance.
They were arrested for the double murder of Gladys Manku and Lettie Maphuthuma on 4 May 2021.
They face charges of conspiracy to commit murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, attempted murder, two counts of murder and obstruction of justice.
Accused number one Khoza has abandoned bail while accused number two Manku and accused number three Ngubo have applied for bail.
The investigating officer of the case was being cross-examined for bail application by the state and defence.
She said she doesn't believe that Manku and Ngubo should be granted bail.
She said that Manku confessed to committing the crime.
"He said that he was looking for a person to kill his mother-in-law. When he found the people, he drove off and came this side from Gauteng. He was in the car with one of them and they followed him in another car that came here to Limpopo," she said.
She said that when the accused arrived in Limpopo, they left the one car and took the car he was driving to Makgophong, where her mother-in-law lived.

"He then pointed to his mother-in-law’s house, and they returned to Gauteng. The hitmen came back on their own as he had given them instructions to kill his mother-in-law," she said.
She said that the men had called Manku after they had finished their work, but they had killed two instead of one.
"He told them that one of the women was his wife. They said she ran away from the place, and they thought she might tell the community and they would be caught," she said.
The witness said that Manku made a payment after the murder.
The witness said it was clear from the cases Manku had in the past that there was domestic violence between him and his wife.
"He had two assault cases that were opened by his late wife," she said.
