THE father of Skeem Saam actress Amanda Manku, who plays Dr Elizabath Thobakgale on the show, will be appearing in the Magatle Magistrates Court in Zebediela, Limpopo on Tuesday, 30 January.
The three, William Manku (53), his lover Nonhlanhla Ngubo (42) and co-accused David Khoza, will be appearing for the continuation of their bail application after their matter was postponed on 23 January.
They were arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, robbery with aggravated circumstances, attempted murder, two counts of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
According to police spokesman Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, the suspects were arrested by members of the Limpopo murder and robbery, provincial tracking team and Benoni flying squad after a 70-year-old mother and her 45-year-old daughter were shot dead by unknown suspects while fetching water at a local tap on 4 May 2021.
Khoza's lawyer said his client has decided to abandon bail while accused number two and three applied for it.
The state called a police officer at the provincial detectives murder and robbery in Polokwane, whose name can’t be mentioned.
The officer who arrested the accused stated that there was a protection order made by Amanda’s mother against William in 2020.

She said Wlliam called his wife and mother in-law and told them to return home as it was late.
The officer said if William if released, he might interfere with the evidence.
“The is a rumour that the docket must disappear and that someone must come and steal it from my office. I cannot reveal the identity of the person because they are a colleague. They were promised R1 million if they steal the docket,” she said.
