THE investigating officer who arrested Skeem Saam actress Amanda Manku’s father and his two co-accused said the actress and his dad don’t get along.

She said this at the Magatle Magistrates Court in Zebediela Limpopo on Tuesday, 30 January.

The three, William Manku (53), Nonhlanhla Ngubo (42) and David Khoza (40), appeared in court for their bail application.

This after they were arrested for the double murder of Gladys Manku and Lettie Maphuthuma on 4 May 2021.

They are facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder, robbery with aggravated circumstances, attempted murder, two counts of murder and defeating the ends of justice.

On William’s affidavit, one of the reasons he asked for bail was that he wanted to attend his daughter’s wedding.

But according to a witness, that wasn’t possible because of the relationship between him and the daughter.

The investigating officer said when they arrested him, she asked him if they should inform his daughter about his arrest, but he refused.

“After we arrested him when we got to Limpopo, the accused requested to talk to me in private and said he couldn’t call his daughter because they don’t get along. He said that he would rather call his son,” she said.
