THE brother of the late Marc Rantseli, Alex had tears in his eyes as he shared his brother's journey.
Speaking at Marc's memorial service at the Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, Soweto on Wednesday, 15 November, the musician said it's not easy to accept that he is gone.
The memorial service was attended by his family, friends and musicians such as Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Mercy Phakela and Blondie Makhene.
Alex said his late brother Marc (58) was a conqueror. He said he will never forget what their journey was like.
He said his brother has been fighting all his life as he struggled with brain aneurysm for many years.
The 56-year-old said: "I have been through a lot with my brother. He was so amazing and I loved him so much. He was an amazing person daily even though he wasn't well since we came back from overseas in the 90s. I'm happy we worked together and grew together," said Alex.
He said said their family duo called MarcAlex was everything to them. He said he will never forget how wonderful he was.

Yvonne Chaka Chaka said they had a great time together as musicians. "I loved them so much and we had fun. We had great time together. Marc was like an engine in their own journey as MarcAlex. We will always miss you Marc," said Yvonne.
During the memorial service, there was dancing and singing along to MarcAlex's popular song, Quick Quick.
Blondie told Daily Sun that Marc was an amazing friend. He said he was loving and together they did wonderful songs as friends.
"I remember him coming to my place to work with me. He was a brilliant singer and songwriter. I can say a lot about him as he loved his work. We will always make sure his name is out there," he said.
Tebogo Sithathu from Moshito said Marc was a beautiful being. He said they did a lot together in the past few years.
"He loved art and music a lot. We are here to honour him as a friend and colleague. To the family, we will always cherish his memories with us. He was a great person as well," he said.
Dr Thabo Lehlokoe said Marc left them with great memories. He said they will celebrate his life throughout, not only today.
Marc will be laid to rest at Westpark Cemetry, Joburg on Saturday, 18 November.
