THE late jazz music singer and songwriter Thapelo Joseph Mofokeng will be buried on Saturday, 27 January.

The funeral service will start at Communal Hall in Orlando East, Soweto and his body will be taken to his final place of rest at Westpark Cemetery, Joburg.

The musician died at the age of 74 on Monday, 22 January.

His life was celebrated on Thursday, 25 January, at Christ The King Catholic church, in Orlando East, Soweto.

During the service, many people described him as a man of integrity and someone who loved his work wholeheartedly.

Actress Lilian Dube said that Thapelo was an excellent actor and musician. She said he went all out for his work.

"We were not calling ourselves celebrities. We just did what we love and people enjoyed our work,"she said.

Legendary actress and performer Mara Tebogo Louw said she has been in love with the late Jazz singer Thapelo Joseph Mofokeng for 12 years. 

The actress said they treated her life family at his home. 

"We worked well together and we were always getting along well. Thapelo was a lovely soul,"she said.
