Slender Da Dancing DJ said they want to bring something different into the music scene.

MZANSI'S top female DJs Slender Da Dancing DJ and Thuli P want to set a good example.

The duo said they want to show the world that women can work together without turning on each other.

The two have joined forces to form their DJ duo called 2Faced to create something new in the industry and encourage women to work together.

The duo said they performed together during the Scorpion Kings Summer Fest held at Ramblers Club in Bloemfontein, Free State on Saturday, 14 October.

Thuli P made a name for herself when she played Namhla Diale at Generation before she started her DJ career, while Slander Da Dancing DJ made a name for herself when she was DJ Tira’s dancer.

Slender Da Dancing DJ, whose real name is Sithabile Zungu (28) from Lamontville in the south of Durban, told Daily Sun that she and Thuli P cater to different genres and lead different lives and that their combination will bring something new to the industry.

"There are a lot of things happening in the industry and we wanted to come up with something new and encourage women that they can also work together and stop being jealous of each other. Since we performed together at the weekend, people have loved our duo and we've already received nine bookings for the coming weekend," Slender said.

Slender said their duo was Thuli P’s idea who wanted to work with a female DJ, and she didn’t waste time to grab the opportunity with both hands.

"Thuli P communicated with DJ Tira and asked him to recommend a female DJ for gqom music, and DJ Tira recommended me," she said.

She said what will make their duo different from others is that they'll play gqom and amapiano music on their set.
