Popular DJ Mobi Dixon will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 22 November.

The musician, known by his stage name as Mobi Dixon, was allegedly assaulted by a guest house owner after his performance in May. 

The musician told Daily Sun that the matter was postponed for the state to investigate further. 

This comes after the 37-year-old, whose real name is Mabi Ntuli, made a brief appearance at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 24 October. 

He said the case was postponed for further investigation and possible mediation.

The Bhutiza hitmaker has been travelling in and out of Bloemfontein for this matter. The musician from East London, Eastern Cape, was assaulted after his performance while with his management team in Bloemfontein.

On Wednesday, 20 September, the Public Prosecutor said the case was postponed for further investigations and possible mediation.

During his first appearance, the NPA said the matter was remanded for further investigation, and the accused was out on warning.

The musician opened a case of assault at the Park Road Police Station in Bloemfontein on Wednesday, 14 June.
