Ozzy, who’s starred in films and TV shows like Who Lived at Number 6, Shuga and Fine Girl, spoke to SunBuzz about being part of the RedSeaIFF.
“Back in 2019, two of my movies titled The Lost Okoroshi and Walking With Shadows showed at the Toronto International Film Festival and BFI London Film Festival. The RedSeaIFF also saw my films and that’s why they invited me to be part of the jury,” said Ozzy.
The actor also opened up about deciding which films would win awards.
“Choosing the winners comes with a lot of arguments because when you’re moved by art, you want to champion that. But we deliberated and at the end we finally made our selections,” he said.

Ozzy also spoke about the importance of taking African stories to the world.
“I can’t overstate the importance of taking our stories to international stages. The time for Africa is now. We as Africans can write our own narratives, and write them the way we live them. Africa deserves a place in the world stage, it deserves a seat at the table, and it is taking that seat,” said Ozzy.
