AMAZULU FC newlywed CEO Sinenjabulo Zungu-Ntuli has bid her final goodbye to her striker husband, Bongi "Mdeva" Ntuli.

Sinenjabulo took to the podium to share her final words to her husband during the funeral service held at The African Congregational Church in Cliffdale, KZN on Thursday, 9 November.

Sinenjabulo and Ntuli were only married for two months.

They had their white wedding in September, and Ntuli died on Sunday, 5 November at the age of 32.

It was a sorrowful moment when a video of their white wedding was played during the funeral service.

The funeral service was attended by AmaZulu FC players and members of the Shembe church (AmaNazaretha from eBuhleni) as Ntuli was a member of the church.

Sinenjabulo, who is also the daughter of AmaZulu FC boss Sandile Zungu, said she and Ntuli started dating in 2021.

“On 15 February 2021, you said I'm your lover. I didn’t know that it would be cut so short. I’m heartbroken.

“You were everything I love. Thanks for loving me loudly, broadly, and so courageously. Go well, my love. Please take care of us as you did when you were still alive. I will miss you calling me 20 times a day,” said a tearful Sinenjabulo.

AmaZulu FC player Ramahlwe Mphahlele said Ntuli was a good player who always gave him a push to gym without complaining.

“We lost a good, disciplined player who loved the club and was always willing to rescue it if we were losing. He always made sure he fights for our wins.

“He was a dedicated player, always willing to help any player in the club even if he didn’t get enough time to sleep but he would perform better and score important goals for the club,” he said.

AmaZulu FC boss Sandile Zungu said it is painful that Ntuli died at such a young age when many things were still expected of him.
