THE life and legacy of Munghana Lonene FM radio presenter Mikiel Mabasa (30) were celebrated on Thursday, 2 November.
Mikiel, affectionately known as 'Miki,' tragically met an untimely death in a horrific incident during the early hours of Saturday, 28 October.
A sombre yet heartwarming memorial gathering occurred at the SABC Polokwane Campus in Studio 9C.
He leaves behind his wife, Vanessa Kukeya, son Katekile Mabasa, and his mother and father, Maria and Hlengani Mabasa.
Miki has graced the airwaves of Munghana Lonene FM since 2021, working as a presenter of Tiko Axi Etleli.
The news of his passing sent shockwaves through the community and the radio industry, leaving behind a profound sense of loss.
Miki had an exceptional talent for storytelling and making his listeners feel like cherished friends.

Colleague Vulani Baloyi described Tiyani as humble, respectful, and funny.
"Sadly, we didn't get enough time to be with him, and he has left us with a void," he said.
His distinctive voice and charisma made him a beloved figure, not just on the airwaves but in the hearts of those who tuned in.
Family representative Robert Machebele told Daily Sun that it's still difficult for them to digest his death.
"We were proud of him working for Munghana Lonene, and we appreciate their support during this hard time. We were expecting to see more from him," he said.
Miki will be buried at Mulamula cemetery on Saturday, 4 November.
