Mr Brown is not a one-trick pony

accreditation

A JACK of all trades and master of his craft, Mr Brown is an artist who embodies humility.

Refusing to be boxed in as a musician, Mr Brown is not a one-trick pony and in this week’s edition of Famous Friday, he shared one of his latest moves – a brand new single with multi-award winning Makhadzi.

“It was a great experience to work with Makhadzi. I’m happy that Thando Lwami is topping the charts and at platinum status,” said Mr Brown.

Many of his followers know that Mr Brown worked on all Makhadzi’s albums, and most recently her gold-selling offering.

“I’ve worked with Cassper and a lot others, but most recently Akon,” he said excitedly.

Mr Brown exclusively revealed that he is working on an EP with amapiano extraordinaire Kabza De Small. Asked if he thought the amapiano wave would evolve as a sound, he said: “I think we need to adopt amapiano as a culture for it to grow further.

“Since it’s something that originates from South Africa, we need to develop more platforms for amapiano.”

Mr Brown also shared his festive season tours, which include some international travels.

“Hopefully, there’s Namibia which is in talks. We also have Zimbabwe and Botswana, Uganda and Belgium’s Tomorrowland, which is promising.”
