FIVE MONTHS ago, Noko Mathekga’s girlfriend destroyed his clothes by fire, and three months later she burnt his bed to ashes.

And was that enough for this fire-loving woman who is now his ex? No!

ON SATURDAY, 8 OCTOBER, SHE TOOK HER VENGEANCE TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND BURNT DOWN HIS ENTIRE SHACK!

Noko (30) from Lethabong near Mamelodi, Tshwane, told Daily Sun he visited family in Benoni, Ekurhuleni, on Friday, 7 October, after he had broken up with his girlfriend.

He said on Saturday while he was away, his ex-girlfriend allegedly burnt down his shack.

He said his ex-girlfriend is not accepting that it’s over between them as she is acting crazy.

“We have been in a relationship for the past six months and last week I told her it’s over.

“I want this to sink into her head that I don’t love her anymore,” he said.

Two months ago, a friend helped him to put out the fire when his bed was burning.

He said this is not the first time this woman has turned her anger into flames.

“There is no other person who would have done that to me except her. Some time ago, when we were still in love, she boasted that she burnt her ex-boyfriend’s shack.

“Now it’s my turn,” said Noko.

He said his ex-girlfriend always threatened that he will not have peace in Lethabong.

“I know that she did this to me.

“I don’t want to confront her because we will fight.

“My hope is to see the justice system helping me because this woman will hurt other people as well,” he said.

Noko said that he opened a case at Boschkop Police Station.

Joseph Mathose (49) said his friend has lost everything in the shack fire.

Community leader Tonia Chabalala (39) said: “Women are now abusing men.”

Gauteng police spokesmanLieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo said: “A case of arson has been opened at Boschkop Police Station and no arrest has been made yet.”

Daily Sun tried to call and track down the ex-girlfriend, but her phone has been off and her whereabouts are still unknown.
