SENSATIONAL choreographer and dancer, Matome 'Limpopo Boy Bujwa' Thoka has been globally recognised when he was awarded the with prestigious Khaya So'Superkool iPiano International Inspiration Award.

The event took place on Saturday, 9 March, coinciding with his 30th birthday celebration at Propaganda in Pretoria.

Matome's infectious dance skills and exceptional choreography have not only charmed audiences but also earned him a well-deserved place among globally acknowledged dance influencers.

He expressed his excitement to Daily Sun and acknowledged that he never anticipated receiving such an honour for his contribution to local dance.

"The local dance scene has been underrated for many years. Being recognised means a lot to me, seeing people show us love and adapting to its vibe," he said.

The award is a global token of appreciation to world trailblazers and icons who inspire excellence, greatness, humanity and hope for the finer things in life.

Matome made a name for himself by dancing for stars such as DJ Cleo, Sho Madjozi, Lady Zamar and Makhadzi.

In 2023, he claimed the number one spot at the Brussels Dance Battle held in AB's Main Hall, Belgium, competing in hip-hop, house, krump and ksaara categories.
