THE case against a top local actor accused of murdering his lover has been postponed.
Gregory Pettigrew (51) was due to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrates Court on Monday, 17 April.
In court, however, the state prosecutor revealed that the accused was still in hospital and would not be discharged on Thursday.

Gregory faces charges of murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
He made headlines on Friday after Gauteng police confirmed a murder incident that happened at Norkem Park in Gauteng on Thursday, 13 April.
Without revealing his identity, police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said the alleged actor allegedly shot and killed his 29-year-old partner before attempting to take his own life after taking an overdose of medication of medication.
Reports later surfaced that Gregory was also a 7de Laan actor, leading to speculation on social media.
However, in a statement Friday, the production distanced itself from the actor and denied knowing about his identity.
“As it stands, we have no knowledge of the identity of the individual involved and would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the victim's family and friends,” the statement read.
Gregory played the character of Gé in the local soap, Getroud Met Rugby and made an appearance on Come Dine With Me South Africa on BBC Lifestyle in May 2020, which he later won.
