POPULAR gospel singer Dr Tumi doesn't like chocolate cake, but he likes vanilla cake.
He will have a braai with family in Tshwane on 1 January 2024, and then they will eat the vanilla cake afterward as they celebrate the new year.
Dr Tumi, whose real name is Tumisang Makweya, said was busy in the studio the whole of December, writing and producing an album for Banele Mahlangu.
He said the single will be released at the end of January 2024, and the 11-track album called Seasons will be out at the end of February.
"This is a beautiful album with beautiful songs. It has worship songs," he said.
Dr Tumi said he will release his single very soon and an album around March 2024.
He said people can expect a good year and beautiful songs and is looking forward to a good time.
He said that in February, he will be touring all over South Africa, starting from Carnival City.
"It will be a beautiful year, I pray to God to protect people," he said.

The multi-award winning gospel singer is appealing to people to stay safe and enjoy the new year with family.
Dr Tumi released an album called Give Thanks in May 2022.
He said that his songs are very intimate, adding that he's been practising medicine since 2008.
Banele described working with Dr Tumi as a humbling and great experience.
"There's commitment to the project. He's a very humble person and understanding," he said.
Banele said he has learnt a lot musical, adding that the album is an offering to the Lord and listening to it, you can get into a time of prayer and worship.
Some of Dr Tumi's previous albums include Love and Grace, Heart of a King, Love on the Cross, and Speak a Word.
