WHEN Dladla Mshunqisi ventured into music, he didn’t know what to expect.
But the and he has not been named on the list of struggling and faded artists. Now, the32-year-old from KwaMashu, north of Durban in KZN, rose to fame quickly.
He has now gained confidence to do big things.

Dladla Mshunqisi, whose real name is Anele Dladla, will soon host a show at Wiseman’s Car Wash in KwaMashu.
The show called Usuku Lomshunqo, to be held on 27 November, will feature artists from and outside Afrotainment.
He said he named the show after his own genre that he introduced to the music scene.
“When I started music, I introduced a new genre called mshunqo, which has an element of gqom. That was a gamble for me because I didn’t know how long it was going to last. But look at me now, I’ve won awards through this genre. I’ve made hits through it and now I’m about to host a big show. This proves that if you put effort and passion into what you do, you can achieve anything,” said Dladla Mshunqisi.
He said everything about the show is set and ready.
“I’ve been supported. I’ve been encouraged to do more and push hard. So, I’m doing this show in KwaMashu as a token of appreciation to my fans. I know that ekasi, security is a big deal. That’s why my team will make sure that everyone is safe on the day. The security will be very tight,” said Dladla Mshunqisi.

He shot to fame after he was featured on Benny Maverick’s hit song, Memeza, in 2017.
Among artists who will be performing at his show are Dlala Thukzin, Andile Mpisane, Jumbo, Blaq Diamond, Zodwa Wabantu and other Afrotainment artists.
