BABES Wodumo and Mampintsha are back on the small screen.
Their reality show Uthando Lodumo returned to Showmax for its second season on Thursday, 1 September and Babes sat down to talk to Daily Sun about what fans could expect.
The first season followed the two, whose real names are Bongekile Simelane and Mandla Maphumulo, through their lobola negotiations, wedding and Babes’ pregnancy. This season will be tackling the very public fight between Babes and Mampintsha’s mum Zama Gumede.
Babes told the SunTeam she didn’t know why families fought like they did.
“A lot of crazy things are happening between my family and Mampintsha’s family. We get along and then we fight, only to get along again and fight again,” she said.
“Honestly, as the families, we don’t know why we are fighting so much. Even I don’t know what is happening.
“I think it’s because we love each other, hence the name of our show. There’s a lot of love and drama.”

However, Babes said viewers would also get to see their life outside of family drama.
“People can expect fun this season. It won’t only focus on our family and friends like the previous season. We will show our careers as well,” she said.
“People will see us attending gigs, going to the studio and recording music they will hear soon. We will feature appearances by stars such as SK Khoza, Ma Danone, Dladla Mshunqisi and Sizwe the MC.”
Babes said they still had not got used to having cameras following them around.
“Recording this season was fun but it was still awkward. We still haven’t got used to having cameras following us around and we always fight with the crew because they are following us but it’s definitely better than it was last season.”
