DJ Kyotic can't wait to bring the things he loves together.
DJ Kyotic can't wait to bring the things he loves together.

HE wanted to do something that is close to his heart.

And because he's passionate about three things, he decided to incorporate them into one festival.

Arnold Mdluli, professionally known as DJ Kyotic, said that he has started a festival called Kyotic City.

He said the festival is about fashion, music, and gaming.

“There's going to be games during the day where everyone can interact. The main goal is to do it at Goldreef City Amusement Park so that people can play while listening to good music,” he said.

He said he wanted something unique.

“Where else have you seen someone doing a festival where games are incorporated with music? I grew up playing games, and I was even a soccer player before doing music,” he said.

He said he left soccer because of the love he had for music.

“My dad inspired me. He loves music so much that I thought I should pursue music,” he said.

Kyotic recently left Metro FM, where he was a resident DJ for two years, adding that the radio station played a huge role in his life.

“It changed my life a lot, in terms of bookings and the connections that I made,” he said.

He said he sent his biggest gratitude to the radio station for having him.

“Thank you for the two years that you guys had me. I really appreciate it,” he said.

Kyotic said that he's not yet ready to record his own music.

“There's a certain element that I'm trying to project out there, so I need to think outside the box before I release,” he said.

He said besides his passion for his career, his fans and audience keep him going.
