DJ Flexy said he wants a share for his song.

NKOSINGIPHILE "DJ Flexy" Cele and Mthandao "Focus Magazi" Magazi are fighting over an instrumental beat of a song.

Flexy accused Focus Magazi of allegedly stealing a beat of his song, titled Daily Prayer.

“I made this song in 2020 and released it in the same year. I intentionally did not add vocals, and people loved it. But I was shocked when I heard my song trending with vocals.

“I started doing research and found Magazi's cellphone number on social media. I started chatting to him because I wanted to test how much he knew about my music. In our communication, I realised that he is a big fan of mine,” said Flexy.

Daily Sun has seen their communication where Flexy pretended to be someone else.

He wrote: “Do you know DJ Flexy? I’m sure you are a big fan of his.”

Focus Magazi responded: “Yes boss, I know Flexy we always play him.”

Because of these messages, Flexy was convinced that Focus Magazi intentionally stole his song and spiced it up with vocals and lyrics.

Flexy claimed that the beat was given to the AmaTycooler group and created a new song called Uyena.

He further claimed that the song was published under DJ Tira’s company, Afrotainment.

“Now the song is doing well. It's trending and playing everywhere. I want my share as the composer of the beat. I don’t think Tira knows about this, but I tried to contact him and he did not respond. I want to make him aware that this is my song, and I deserve to get something from it,” Flexy added.

Daily Sun also listened to both songs, and the beat is the same.

Focus Magazi said: “The songs sound the same because they were made from an old gospel song. But I created the beat from scratch and gave it to Amatycooler.

Focus Magazi said he was offended by the accusations.

"Flexy never asked me about this. He is tarnishing my name instead. I am even thinking of suing him for this.”

Dj Tira said: “If he thinks the beat is the same, then he is wrong.”

AmaTyvooler's manager refused to reveal his name when Daily Sun approached him for a comment.

"We will not comment on this one," he said.
