EVENT planner Londiwe Ndwandwe walked away with a Event Management/Planning Award at the Forty under 40 SA on Saturday, 9 September
The founder and owner of Andimahle Building Events said she is overwhelmed, but mostly grateful for the award.
“It is such an honour to get recognition for the work that my team and I do on a daily basis. This is a time for me to stop and look back at how far we’ve come as a business,” she said.
She said despite the challenges that they face, they're encouraged to press forward.
“It’s been over a decade, to be specific. We've been in business for the past 15 years, orchestrating truly original events,” she said.
Londiwe said she has helped people with employment in her company.
“We have just over 30 permanent staff and 20 part-time staff. I always encourage them by leading by example. I am involved in planning and setting up of every event, which I believe is an encouragement on its own,” she said.

Londiwe said it’s important to show "your team that you appreciate them", but mostly to also be fully involved.
“The unemployment rate keeps increasing in South Africa and it calls for our youth to identify opportunities in the business sector. I believe in collaborating with other businesses, so the more we have options, the better,” Londiwe said.
She said she began her career in the UK as a healthcare practitioner at Sunrise Operations.
“Upon my return to South Africa, I worked in the government sector as a private secretary. In all my roles I acquired indispensable skills that I later used to become an entrepreneur,” Londiwe said.
She said in 2008 she finally decided to turn her passion for planning and paying attention to detail into a business opportunity.
