BONGANI FASSIE, on Moja Love, openly accused Lance Stehr of introducing him to drugs and closing industry doors on him.

But Lance has now accused Bongani of making up stories, and is not taking this lying down.

NOW, BONGANI IS FACING A LAWSUIT THAT MAY COST HIM A WHOPPING R6,5 MILLION!

Lance, the founder of record label Muthaland, said he has never sued anybody for anything they’ve said.

“I have ignored the noise in general, but my children and family took exception by what had been said, and encouraged the lawsuit. I believe Bongani must learn from his actions,” he said.

Bongani (36), the son of the late Brenda Fassie, said this in an episode of his reality TV show, Finding Bongani, last year.

And Lance filed a lawsuit against him in April this year.

According to the legal papers, seen by Daily Sun, Lance stated that what Bongani said about him was false and defamatory.

“The statements in episode seven are a culmination of a set of false, defamatory statements of and concerning the plaintiff woven into the first six episodes of the series,” the documents read.

The documents said the broadcast, on six preceding Saturday nights, showed Lance as an unscrupulous buyer of drugs for clients, including Bongani.

Lance said beyond the false allegations that he had supplied Bongani with cocaine, it showed that he was exploitative and a criminal manager.

He’s asking for R500 000 for the defamatory statements and R6 million for the loss of income of his business.

“As a direct cause of the publication and broadcasting of intentional falsehoods by the defendant, plaintiff has suffered, and will continue to suffer, significant harm to his business and its professional reputation resulting in commercial and economic loss in the sum of R6 million.”

Lance told Daily Sun that he did not expect Bongani to say such.

“I understand the desperation of click bait and wanting to get viewers, but you are overstepping the mark by making up stuff at the expense of others.”

Bongani declined to comment.

Head of Moja TV channels Bokani Moyo said they were not aware of the lawsuit, and could not comment.
