MZANSI’S number one most watched soapie Uzalo is determined to stay on top.
The SABC1 show has added two new faces to shake things up.
Former The Queen actress Sibusisiwe Jili started to appear on Wednesday, 7 June while former The Wife actor Linda Majola will appear from Tuesday, 13 June.
The duo is set to bring a new dimension of excitement, drama and intrigue to the show as Jili will be joining the Mhlongo family portraying Nomkhosi Mhlongo, while Majola will be portraying self-proclaimed influencer.
Series producer King David Mukwevho said Nomkhosi is the cousin of one of the star's of the show, Nkunzi Mhlongo. He said he will give Nkunzi a hard time as she confronts obstacles and contends with him for the coveted chieftaincy seat.
"Nomkhosi’s character promises to bring forth intense conflicts and showcase her unyielding determination. The renowned Sibusisiwe Jili embodies the strength, intelligence and unwavering determination that defines Nomkhosi’s character brilliantly," Mukwevho said.

Mukwevho said the talented Linda, who played Hlomu's twin sister Langa on The Wife, brings Mzamo Shezi to life with his impeccable acting skills.
"Linda’s portrayal of Mzamo’s resilience, vulnerability, and quest for acceptance will undoubtedly leave viewers enthralled and eager to see what lies ahead for his character.
"Linda Majola and Sibusisiwe Jili’s exceptional talents and magnetic performances bring Mzamo Shezi and Nomkhosi Mhlongo to life with unparalleled depth and authenticity," he said.
Uzalo continues to release and hire new actors after it recently released Nompilo Maphumulo who played Nosipho, Menzi Biyela who played Pastor Gwala, Ronald Mkhwanazi who played Nsimbi, as well as others.
They recently hired Menzi Nxumalo and Noluthando Meje, who both play detectives while they also recently hired Nkanyiso Mchunu and Fanele Ntuli.
