Lesley said the chief needs to keep pushing, working and taking his community to the next level.

He said that he came from the Ba Venda royal family in Limpopo, adding that he did not belong to Bakgatla ba Mosetlha, but had come to support the momentous occasion.

The actor told Daily Sun about his journey and said that he enjoys acting and entertaining Mzansi people.

Lesley said he's enjoying the role of Solani Khosa on Giyane: Land of Blood.

He also played the role of Ndalamo on SABC2's Muvhango.

On his future plans, Lesley said he wants to start his own company.

"I am just a down-to-earth person and I love people. I am an artist and that's the core of everything. I am always on the road attending events," he said.

Lesley said he is not only an actor, but also a social entrepreneur who does a lot of work, especially in rural areas, teaching young people art, drama and music.

"I am not completely fulfilled by acting yet, but I have earned my stripes," he said.

Lesley said he is happy to be an actor because it has opened many doors for him.

"I think acting and being on TV has opened those doors. Most of the chiefs in the North West, Mpumalanga, Limpopo are my friends," Lesley said.

He said he has been acting for almost 20 years now, although he originally wanted to be a psychologist.
