CRIMINALS are facing a new challenge that has the potential to make it more difficult to get away with certain crimes.
Pro-Active South Africa has an intelligence sharing database which instantly distributes pre-loaded information on any hijacked or stolen vehicle to 137 security service providers and enforcers – not just the one you’re signed up with.
If your vehicle is stolen or hijacked, you can enter the code by SMS or your internet browser and in less than 10 seconds, the information is circulated.
The managing director of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, said the technology puts more power in the hands of motorists.
