The 8 year tradition of all matriculants handing in their shoes and socks as they bid goodbye to teachers and friends has reached a new high this year with 167 pairs of shoes and socks handed in.
The shoes are donated to a school with less fortunate children when the new school year starts, the school stated on their Facebook page.
Sherri Bell spokesperson for Fish Hoek high told parent24, "The shoes are collected by John Doyle in memory of his daughter. He takes it to HAPPY FEET in Langa who distributes it to kids in need".
