SON'S NEST EGG IS IN SAFE HANDS

accreditation

THE FACTS

IN 2005, Lisa Zondo from Alexandra, north of Joburg, deposited R5 000 into a fixed deposit account for her son, Lofuno Zondo.

The fixed deposit was due to mature after five years.

However, when Lisa went to the bank to find out when she could withdraw the money, she was told there was no money in the account.

She lodged a complaint with Standard Bank, but she didn’t get any help and nobody could tell her what was going on.

She decided to come to the SunDefender to ask for help.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to Bernadine Naidoo of Standard Bank, who said she would look into the matter.

SOLUTION

Lisa is happy the bank has paid back the money she deposited into her son’s account.
