NONCEBA Mcunu from Dobsonville, Soweto took out an insurance policy on her ex-husband’s life. She said the agent that assisted her knew she was divorced.
Her ex-husband died last month and she went to claim.
She was requested to submit documents in order to process the claim. Since then Old Mutual has been requesting additional documents but nothing has been done to conclude the claim.
She is worried she is being punished for the mistakes of the agent who was assisting her.
She had a similar experience when she lost her mother and Old Mutual did not pay.

I spoke to Carmen Williams from Old Mutual.
SOLUTION
Nonceba confirmed she has been paid R17 000 for her claim and later paid R25 000 for another claim that was not paid before.
